Using patented technology, Olympus tips reduce the force needed for insertion and ejection, lower the chance of hanging droplets and the need for “tip touch off,” and outperform competitors in sample recovery with a proprietary low-retentive resin. This low-retentive technology creates a hydrophobic surface that reduces the surface tension of the interior wall of the pipet tip and minimizes the bonding of DNA and protein to the tip material. No additives such as silicone are used; consequently, no leaching or sample degradation occur.
